Rand Q. Markiel - as the Retsej and Jester

Hello everyone and welcome to the show!
Some background information about the Retsej character. The Retsej is a medieval demon who was witness to the crucifiction of Christ, or so he says
at times, at other times he says Jesus did not die on the cross at all and survived the crucifiction. He is the deceiver after all. I created the Retsej character in such a way so as one might feel he is really listening to a demon speaking, and I think I achieved my goal. The Retsej is able to possess different bodies around the world at different times throughout human history, and his demon spirit is also able to travel through time to possess people, as all time is simultaneous and all events still happening now. Also he is able to be "reincarnated" so to speak, in that he possesses the human embryo and the human is born possessed at different times throughout human history. It was cool how I made the character the worst personality on the planet, yet not on the side of fascism and evil people on the planet at all. In fact , he wishes us all to suffer, except when he wants to save the world, very rarely, and I mean very rarely, such as in the songs "Phenomenon", "Totally Amazing", and "World Gone Crazy". Still he can't be trusted, for his brief attempt at redemption does not last and he becomes totally evil again. More about the character later...

More about the character
The Retsej character is probably the only horror character which possibly has the real energy of the devil in it.
For our American entertainment, I attempted to really achieve demonic possession for the American public to show that the paranormal really exists and that the devil really does exist, which I believe to this day. The energy of the devil may be in this depiction, though the character is completely fictional and created with my own imagination. I channeled you might say or was possessed by the energy which through myself went into the character. I created. Still, I may just be imagining it all and this is totally the work of my creative mind and imagination. Some say I have a mental illness, such as my psychiatrist, who does give me antipsychotics, which apparantly don't prevent the possession. So it may not be a mental illness that I use to create the character when I "get possessed and become the Retsej character", though I still always have control of my body and would never in real life become violent while possessed. I believe I have control and the devil does not have the upper hand as far as this depiction goes, as I was raised a Catholic and still believe Jesus Christ may have died on the cross, although my prevailing belief now is that he survived the crucifiction and when they saw him alive again after the crucifiction of the man people though was Jesus people thought that he had been resurrected, though I do believe he performed miracles and is the son of God. But I do keep an open mind that Jesus may have died on the cross, and I believe this depiction will do more good than it ever appears to do harm, paradoxically, you might say, and I feel the American public can handle this depiction as entertainment. I put a lot of my understanding of things into the character, if anyone has any questions about the character feel free to ask them on my band's message board. More later...

More about the character continued...
The Retsej can often be a difficult character to understand. He is at times on the side of the United States when he wants to save the world which is very rare. Still, a a lot of the time he pretends to be on the side of the United States but is really our worst enemy. He is the deciever and cannot be trusted. I made the character so that he was on the side of the slaves in early America because that is when he wants to save the world, still technically he is most of the time not on anyone's side but is never a racist character. As he is not Lucifer himself, but demon below Lucifer he does not share all the traits of Lucifer's entire spectrum of evil manifestations and is not on the side of any of the other evil manifestations, people that Lucifer uses and manipulates on earth. He is not responsible for the holocaust though Lucifer used the Nazi's as pawns but is still not on anyone's side when it really comes down to it, Lucifer would have made the Nazi's suffer eventually to even if they had won World War 2. Also, the Retsej tortures and burns the Nazi's and other evil people down in hell as he sits upon the Golden Throne, including many evil people that have gone or will go to hell. Though there are other demons in hell, such as Beelzbub, they all battle for dominance in hell. The Retsej had to repay the world for some of his crimes by being reincarnated in World War 2 as an American soldier and killing Hitler in different probable realities. More about the Retsej character continued…
The Retsej is not anti-semetic though Jesus was Jewish when he died on the cross or survived the crucifixion. This is according to my understanding though I am not a religious scholar. The Retsej is not against the Jewish people on an ethnic level, but yet is against everyone equally on the planet as human beings, who he sees as all inferiorly equal on a basic level. He is against the Jewish people in that sense just as much as everyone else, though not because of their religious beliefs. I was very careful with this depiction not to have the character discriminate among human beings when he is not trying to save the world, which happens rarely. So the Retsej is against the Jewish people just as much but no more than anyone else, since he against everyone in the whole world equally, as they are equally inferior in his eyes, except when he wants to save the world. Then he is on the side of all people of good intent towards the United States, including the Jewish people. When he wants to save the world he does discriminate among evil and good people. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” This quote is only relevant in that the Retsej is not on the side of the evil people against the USA when he wants to destroy the whole world, though he is not on the side of the USA either then. So he is an American demon, or a demon living in America, who is originally from hell, so he couldn’t technically ever be a true American, though he helps out the USA when he wants to save the world, but is still seen then by the US government as the enemy, because they know his good intent is rare and he still cannot be trusted. In this depiction, I created an artificial fictional character who mentions real world events and talks about real people, as I incorporated real events and certain real people into this depiction. Like President George Bush, who wants to see the Retsej destroyed and is his worst enemy, obviously I made the President the good guy in this depiction, as he is on the Christian side, which I mainly created this depiction around the framework of Christianity’s and Catholicism belief system frameworks as I interpreted them.
Like I said, I am not a religious scholar, but I was raised a Catholic and was a practicing catholic until I became a teenager. So I do know what it’s like to be a Catholic. This influenced the creation of my depiction. If I have made mistakes in creating the demon, those mistakes can be attributed to the fact that the Retsej is the deceiver as Lucifer is, so my mistakes make sense still. Though I though I did a great job on this depiction, and believed I was helped by the the devil’s energy with as far as creating the character, and until very recently believed I was truly getting possessed and it was not all in my mind and that I am just a normal actor. Now I attribute my feeling and belief that I was really possessed to mental illness, which I am now achieving treatment for. Yet I still make new songs, so I sometimes do wonder, was the devil’s energy ever incorporated into this depiction and character, as I do believe in the devil, whether his is created by our beliefs in him or not. Besides that one more important fact I know, Lucifer is not on anyone’s side and only appears to be as he uses certain people to cause pain for the human race. The Retsej is against all other manifestations of the devil’s energy and expressions of it. So the Retsej is against all evil people on the planet too. More to be continued…
